The next day at school I tell my friend Sarah I watched it. I loooovvveeeeeeee that movie. And I will for the rest of my life. I will be showing that to my kids someday. I got the dvd the day it came out.

I became Tangled up in Tangled. Read my mind 2. Teen, 14 years old Written by StarshineJulie July 31, Avoid stupid reviews from stupid parents. As a teen, I personally hate common sense media as a rating review website for parents and kids.

Common sense media isn't so common sense. Tangled is a good movie. The story-line is great, it teaches kids a positive lesson about love, faith, bravery, and about the importance of qualities rather than self image, all through a very good movie of a princess.

I like how it takes on a unique concept, unlike many disney princess movies, where the princess usually meets her fate and gets married. In this case, a lot of the kids who are rating the movie are much smarter than many adults on here.

When reading reviews, its best to look a a kid or teen's point of view on the movie. They're after all the ones who are mostly viewing the movie. Many parents who are rating this movie barely have a clue what the movie is about, and are usually the ones who are helicopter parents, soccer moms, excessively picky, poorly critical, or overly judgemental. They are the reasons why a lot of kids movies are being cancelled because the best movies are being given the worst reviews and are being judged as "inappropriate".

Another way to best rate this movie is to watch it yourself and determine based on the maturity of your child what your child will focus on in the movie. Because one of the biggest mistakes you can make is listening to the many idiots who are leaving over reactive and nit-picking reviews on this website.

Helped me decide. Teen, 17 years old Written by The most awesome September 16, This is the best Disney Movie Ever! It was great. It was funny and had a good moral of the story. I actually really enjoyed it. It does use words like "stupid" and has a good amount of violence One of the main characters gets seriously injured. However, its a story both kids and adults can enjoy.

Had useful details. Kid, 10 years old August 18, Kid, 10 years old May 27, Great Plot! I really like Tangled. I didn't think the music was perfect, but it had meaning and it was fine.

The animals were a funny touch. I'd say there are some pretty violent parts but most of it is just funny. Thank you for reading. Teen, 13 years old Written by Chloe Johnson May 17, I didn't enjoy it but other people would! I just didn't really like the storyline, well I think lots of other people would love it! My dad and my mum loves it, but me and my sister hate it!

I would still tell people to watch it though. Read my mind. Teen, 13 years old Written by Missconcerned February 27, Tangled Good gosh. What the heck is with some of these parents. I mean I'm not okay with kid's shows after except Gravity Falls and mixed feelings about maybe 5 others , but I don't like it when people G-Rate everything. Besides that's not the point the point is Tangled and I think it's a really good movie.

Better than stupid Frozen. And some of the parents shouldn't be so worried. It's just a movie. And to those parents let me say that at the end of the original printed version of the original version of Cinderella that the stepmother's and stepsisters's eyes get pecked out by birds and that the original story of the Little Mermaid that the sea witch wins and that in the story that Frozen is based on, The Snow Queen, the queen is supposed to be the villain.

And they were all classic children's tales. So yeah I'm pretty sure Tangled is no different from those. Anyway Tangled is awesome!!!!!!!!!! Teen, 13 years old Written by CourtneyReview September 23, Although almost tying with Disney's Prince of Egypt, Tangled comes out as my favorite!

Rapunzel is a fantastic role model from girls ! Very funny and the songs are so catchy! The only thing i would worry about is when Mother Gothel antagonist stabs Flynn Rider supporting protagonist with a sharp piece of glass after a mirror shatters.

But being a Disney movie, they show minimal blood. Although for any child under the age of 8, this could be a little frightening depending on the child and what they usually see. My nieces and newphew love this movie but make me skip over that scene. But their mother ususally does not watch too much TV so, they are not used to that.

For sensative kids, i say skip that scene, but for a regular 6 year old, try it! Teen, 14 years old Written by Ikaros December 19, It's loveable characters and simply marvelous storyline kept me watching until the end, and when I finished, I wanted to go back and watch it again. It has a monumental combination of adventure, sorrow, romance, and inspiration that all leads to a wonderful end. Please read my review.

I was surprised how many reviews have downed on this movie because of the "violence" and "pure evil. Someone is stabbed. It doesn't show it. It shows nothing except a small red spot when he pulls back his jacket. Is all of the magic contained in the ends, making the roots totally useless? It would make more sense for the power to come from the hair's roots, and thus for Rapunzel's pixie cut to stay blonde and magical.

But hey — who are we to judge Disney's creative choices? If there are any history fans out there, be warned: this issue with Tangled might cause you a little bit of grief. At one point in the movie, Rapunzel strikes a match to light a candle. Seems innocent enough, right? According to the creators of Tangled , the events of the movie take place around the year However, the self-lighting match wasn't invented until the early s. Either Rapunzel is a time-traveler, or Tangled 's creators made a tiny historical slip-up here!

Let's be honest here: the entire concept of a flower that heals people when you sing to it doesn't make much sense. The opening narration of Tangled establishes that there was only one magical flower out there and that it was lost to pretty much everyone — except Mother Gothel, that is. The fact that you have to sing to the flower to make it work wasn't common knowledge. How did Gothel know about the song in question — and how did she work out the exact lyrics she needed to sing to unleash the flower's magic?

It's never explained! If the events of Tangled tell us anything, it's that the king and queen of Rapunzel's kingdom really need to invest in better security guards. Firstly, there's the fact that a random old woman was able to break into the king and queen's bedroom and steal their baby, while the parents themselves were in the same room! Secondly, the fact that Flynn was able to steal the precious crown from the castle so easily says a lot about the competency of the guards.

Anyone who's ever had long hair has probably thought about the logistics of having locks as lengthy as Rapunzel's. How does she manage to keep it looking so healthy and shiny? More to the point, why doesn't her hair get dirty even though it's dragging along the floor for most of the film? Rapunzel keeps her hair loose until she reaches her parents' kingdom, meaning it's been dragged through a forest, into a pub, and along various dirt tracks.

It should be absolutely rife with dirt, but nope — it's as pristine as ever. What gives? Let's be real: Mother Gothel is a pretty incompetent criminal. Instead of doing the simple thing and giving Rapunzel a whole new identity after she's taken her, Gothel lets the young girl retain some aspects of her former life.

Gothel also keeps Rapunzel's birthday the same, rather than making up a fake one. This turns out to be her biggest mistake! The fact that the lanterns appear on her birthday every year is the thing that piques Rapunzel's curiosity and causes her to leave her tower. Rookie error, Mother Gothel! It seems that in the Tangled universe, memory doesn't work in quite the same way as it does in our world.

As we all know, humans don't remember everything that's happened to them since birth. Most people's earliest memories come from around the age of 3. However, when Rapunzel spots a familiar symbol in her parents' kingdom, she has a flashback to the brief time in which she actually lived in the castle. Rapunzel was only a baby when Mother Gothel took her. Therefore, she shouldn't have any memories of her former home at all!

Towards the end of Tangled , Rapunzel's love Flynn Ryder is cruelly stabbed by Mother Gothel as he tries to rescue the princess. It's all very sad — and a little bit confusing, actually. Mother Gothel stabs Flynn in the back harsh, right? However, when Flynn crumples to the ground in pain, he clutches a wound in his chest!

Surely Gothel's knife wasn't big enough to go all the way through him? Why does Flynn's wound move, Disney? Where is the consistency?! Speaking of Flynn being stabbed — the fact that Rapunzel's "magical tears" save him is a bit ridiculous.

Throughout Tangled , it's been emphasized that Rapunzel's healing powers lie in her hair and her hair only. That's why Mother Gothel is so determined to keep the princess' locks attached to her head.
