They were only there for a short time, and while they were there they made quick work of the planets strongest warriors before destroying Planet Arlia altogether. After arriving on Earth, Nappa did a power demonstration by blowing up an entire city just with his Exploding Wave. After Vegeta threatened him not to do so or he would kill him because it could destroy any Dragon Ball nearby , they headed off to seek out the Dragon Balls and went directly to where Son Gohan , Piccolo and Kuririn are, looking for the one who killed Raditz, arriving moments before Yamucha , Chaozu and Tenshinhan.
After Yamcha was killed by a Saibaimen, Nappa demonstrates his sheer power over the Z Warriors, surviving the attacks of Tenshinhan and Chaozu which ultimately took their lives in the process , with nothing but a few cosmetic injuries. During the fight, Piccolo had a plan to destroy him, but Gohan was too afraid to attack during the part where he was supposed to blast him.
Before the fight could continue, Vegeta decided to pause it for three hours to allow Son Goku to show up, finding it amusing that Kuririn, Piccolo, and Gohan had so much faith on such a low level Saiyan warrior as Kakarrot. To keep himself occupied, Nappa destroyed the news crew that had been reporting on the battle and then easily decimated the military forces that consisted of battleships and aircraft carriers that were en route to stop the Saiyans. After that, he destroyed another city with his Bakuhatsuha technique.
After three hours had passed, the fight resumed and Nappa took off his Saiyan Armor so that there was nothing holding his power back. Piccolo devised a plan that involved him grabbing Nappa's tail to weaken him, but Nappa had become immune to this and did not suffer any pain from it as Raditz had earlier.
Once again, the Saiyan demonstrated his might against Piccolo and Kuririn, clearly injuring Piccolo, torturing Kuririn, and bullying Gohan. The remaining Z Fighters were all injured, while Nappa wasn't even hurt at all, but soon, Kuririn threw a Destructo Disk at him, which he barely dodged, getting out with just a scar on his left cheek the only injury he had received throughout the entire battle.
This was enough to make Nappa stop making Kuririn suffer, and just kill him. However, Piccolo launched a Ki blast at him just in time, which makes Vegeta laugh at how he was hit twice. He was about to kill Piccolo, but decided to bully Gohan again, smacking him then taking time to relax by sitting on him while Gohan was laying face up, during which he threatened him with fart jokes which he soon carried out on.
After a few minutes and several farts, Nappa gets up, walks off and continues to mock Gohan's father. Gohan finally lost patience and kicked Nappa in a rage, catching him off guard for the first time during the fight, but this doesn't hurt Nappa at all and only makes Nappa angrier. In the end, Nappa ultimately kills Piccolo when the Namekian uses his body to shield Gohan from a potentially fatal attack. Gohan, enraged by this, uses all his power in one last blast called the Masenko ; an attack that Nappa parries almost easily, but admits that it had made his arm a little numb.
Just as the much more powerful Nappa is about to finish off the exhausted Gohan, Goku arrives. As strong as Nappa was, he was unable to land a blow against Goku, whose agility was great, even his ultimate attack fails to faze him when he counters it with a Kamehameha charged within a few seconds.
Reading this article, you will notice that Nappa was involved with a lot of firsts and seconds in the acclaimed series. Thanks to spin-off fiction such as manga and Dragon Ball -related video games, Nappa has seen a lot more character development. Many different tidbits and unseen transformations were included in these titles that really drew the interests of Dragon Ball fans around the world. If you played modern Dragon Ball games, Nappa was probably included in it in one form or another.
Like Raditz, let's speak about this bald-headed hulking mountain of a Saiyan. How much do you know about Nappa? Here are 25 factoids, some crazy and some silly, that you didn't know about the Saiyan general Nappa from the Dragon Ball Z series.
While Nappa was eliminated quite early in Dragon Ball Z , he actually did reappear at least once during every major saga in the popular series. Notably, Nappa debuted in the th chapter of the Dragon Ball manga, which went seamlessly from the original series to Dragon Ball Z without numerical interruption.
Later in the episode, Nappa and Vegeta are shown in space talking about Raditz's defeat and wishing for eternal life if they should gather the seven Dragon Balls.
Thus, both of them enter their Space Pods bound for Earth. Exactly how old is Vegeta's trusted general? Like with most characters in the Dragon Ball universe, the exact age was not explicitly stated in any of the source material or official guidebooks, but there were hints given. Nappa is a Saiyan adult who is probably in his 50s.
There is enough information to surmise that Nappa is a Saiyan adult who is probably in his 50s in terms of Earth-calculated years. According to the Daizenshuu 7, Nappa is stated as being around his 50s when he was killed the first time. The earliest canonical appearance of Nappa is during the Saiyan-Tuffle War, as well as being the direct subordinate during Vegeta's mission when he was young. Of course, there are several physical inconsistencies with Nappa's numerous appearances.
While there is often fan speculation concerning Nappa's appearance as a Super Saiyan with no hair on top of his head, he wasn't always a bald guy. In his earlier chronological appearances, there was a time when Nappa did have hair.
However, it should be noted that despite being probably in his 30s, he was already exhibiting signs of Saiyan pattern baldness. This might also be one of the rare instances where a Saiyan actually goes through a hair change, which is thought to be inconceivable with Vegeta's early erroneous statement.
Luckily, Nappa's hypothetical Super Saiyan look does feature him with his bald head. Where exactly does his bright Super Saiyan hair glow? Be sure to keep reading. Like his compatriot, Raditz, Nappa was also featured in the game called Dragon Ball: Fusions , a title filled with hypothetical, non-canonical fusion characters. Unsurprisingly, both of Nappa's fusion forms require Raditz as his partner. If Nappa performs a traditional Fusion Dance with Raditz, they create the character named Natz, who looks oddly-similar to Uub with a mustache.
Natz was also featured in the manga based on the spin-off video game and is considerably more powerful than both of the villains at any point in their canonical appearances.
There is also a third unnamed prototypical Saiyan character that is also featured in the game. As the second notable villain of Dragon Ball Z , Nappa is probably the third most powerful enemy that the Z Fighters faced in the series, outranking Raditz and the Saibaman.
Nappa at full-power measures in at a power level of 4, According to Akira Toriyama, Nappa at full-power measures in at a power level of 4,, which is over double the power of Raditz.
It is unknown what Nappa's power level would advance to if he survived his battle with Goku and wasn't eliminated by Vegeta, as the Saiyan ability of Zenkai would have given him a tremendous power boost. Nappa is an absolute giant of a man at 6ft 10 inches and uses his natural height and strength to his advantage in battle. He also proved himself to be extremely durable surviving a kamikaze attack from Chiaotzu. His Ki techniques are also like him, extremely powerful but slightly one dimensional.
First, needlessly blowing up the city and refusing to stand down when commanded by Vegeta. No Ki Blast is sent but a large explosion seems to come up from the floor in the intended area of destruction.
This gives Nappa increased strength causing his melee attacks to cause additional damage. While using this technique Nappa was able to punch Tien's arm clean off.

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise including movies, spin-offs, etc. Seeing how gigantic he is compared to Vegeta - he must be over 8 ft Post by saiyanprincess » Wed Jul 23, am I'm not sure, But I know somewhere on the internet there is a detailed guide which states the height of the fighters.
He is much taller than Vegeta, and even makes Piccolo and Goku look short in comparison; I would say he is most likely around eight foot tall - Just an estimated guess. One thing that bugs me, Is that he once had hair!
Or maybe Vegeta poured some acid upon a sleeping Nappa's proud tufts of hair Sorry drifting off the subject entirely! Again just an estimated guess but I would agree with about 8 foot. Right or Left?
