Rodney B Valparaiso, IN contributions. This is my first visit here I love this place. Very cozy and nice setting. Definitely will be back. My husband and I stopped in on our drive through Indiana. We are experienced wine tasters and were put off by the experience there. Our server did not like it when I asked him to not swirl my wine. Yes, I know it needs to be aerated, however, I like to smell and taste it first.

He proceeded to rinse our glasses with water in between tastes, which is an absolute NO in my book and after the way he acted when I told him not to swirl I didn't tell him to not use water. When I dumped the remainder of the water from my glass, he told me I needed to relax and just let him do his job. So we did not enjoy the experience. Also, the wines are not spectacular. We learned there is a new winemaker and owner, however the wines that were poured were from the old winemaker.

You can get a cheese platter and a bottle of wine and sit on the front porch rocking chairs and have a blast! Price differs depending on the wine selected, but it's a fair price. Connie P. We hope to see you back again! Reader Lafayette, IN contributions. We were traveling with friends that were wine club members. We get to the winery 15 minutes before they close. The members had wine to pick up. The impression I received from the winery was "how dare you show up we are getting ready to close! We were definitely interfering with their closing. I had a gift certificate to use. I have been to the winery several times but after how we were treated today I will definitely have to rethink about visiting the winery.

I am glad I am not wine club member if this is how you provide customer service to your members. No thank you. Stopped here on the way to Michigan City, but easy day trip from Indianapolis.

I live in Monticello and enjoy going to the winery to buy wine for myself or for a gift. They have several events through out the year that my family and I like to attend car show, art show, etc as well. The gift shop has some really nice wine related items and the prices are reasonable.
